In the book of Acts, we step into a river of history that continues to flow, even now through the doors of our churches. We are part of the same body of Christ as were the members of the first-century church. And lives are still being transformed as the same good news is proclaimed and God’s power is released. The new day that God began for His people in Acts chapter one continues even this week.
We are a church on a mission-a mission that would be impossible without the Spirit’s power. There’s only one kind of power in this world that’s ever going to change the world-it’s God’s power through the Holy Spirit, working through people who want to be used by Him. That’s really the story of the book of Acts.
