The law can define righteousness. The law can demand righteousness. But the law cannot deliver change because the law isn’t the problem – we are. As John 3:16 is to the lost, so is Romans 8 to the child of God. It reveals that victory is possible at greater depths than mere behavior, for God has made a way for change of the heart and mind.
Christ followers are not just responsible for what they do – but also for the impression they give. This week will be a paradigm shift for each of us as we transition from an easy and average perspective of judgment to one of mercy. Mercy is diffi cult and must be learned – because where it is absent, God is blasphemed, Satan will gain a foothold and Christianity becomes a joke.

There are no enduring relationships without forgiveness.
If you think you have the right to withhold forgiveness it is because you have not properly calculated the debt of sin owed to a Holy God. Even when it’s hard… Even when it’s hurtful… Forgiven people forgive people. You might be surprised what Jesus said hangs in the balance when it comes to forgiveness.
Forgive without limit…THIS is what we do.
“…Cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.”
Isaiah 40:2
Q: Who needs pardon?
A: Everyone!
Condition of receiving pardon: Knowing you need it. Get ready!
