Finding Your Identity | Exodus 3
Some subjects are harder to close than others. This week’s message is for sure a powerful conclusion to an unbearable subject: How do you move past the pain of betrayal and rejection, so that what happened in your past only benefits the future for you and your loved ones?
If you’re feeling under resourced or carrying a heavy load, it’s no surprise. God has made no provision for you to live the Christian life on your own.
You’re not strong enough or committed enough, none of us are. God has just one provision for us to live a life of joyful obedience in Christ – the Holy Spirit.
And how does the Holy Spirit help? You’re about to find out, in this never before aired message straight from the Scriptures…
Finding Your Identity in God | Exodus 3
Who do you know that identifies by their finances? Their high school sports career? Their addictions or failures? God has a far better view of our identity… especially when we are broken. Today we’ll jump right into Pastor James’ message, open your Bible to Exodus 3.
A trial is a difficult circumstance allowed by God to transform your conduct and your character. Don’t despair when you encounter trials – often God allows them so He can lead you through.
Running for their lives from the Egyptian army and facing the Red Sea, the Israelites were desperate – but God made a way! Are you facing a trial you cannot fix yourself? As He was for the Israelites, our faithful God will be your victory too…
Open your Bible to Exodus 14, for the final message in our series, I AM: Finding Your Identity in God.

Exodus 5-11
The number one question on our minds when it comes to God’s deliverance is, “when?” Often we wonder, why the delay? Is God ever going to come through? God delays deliverance for some very good reasons. He wants to drive the doubting out of our lives so we will do exactly what the Word of the Lord says.
God Himself is your deliverer! Right now, the Lord is at work – He has a plan, and He is changing hearts. When it feels like God is delaying, remember this: He’s making you spiritually fit for what He is already planning to do. You need only to wait in faith… everything God has promised is coming! In the end there will be a greater victory. Open your Bible to Exodus 5, and learn to rest in God’s promise of deliverance.
